The Real Poop

 
Sometimes the horse is smarter than the rider; and if the horse says to the rider, "No, I won't take you there", the rider should listen, and thank his lucky stars he has such a horse.
 
Well, Friday morning I came upon a news story, a story as pretty as a naked lady in a pink bed, but my Horse said, "No, Virgil, I don't want you to write this one"; and I hemmed and hawed over it all day because scoops are my life and I hate to let this one pass.
 
To tell you how hot this story is, I knew the actor John Spencer of "The West Wing" fame was going to die several hours before he did; so now, with that confirmation of what I knew in the morning being reported in the evening news, you know I want to report the larger scoop; but my Horse is saying, "No, Virgil, not unless are a free journalist".
 
I'll tell you this much, though:  George W. Bush is going to poop his pants.
